The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck really brings the Great Depression to life and our frailties and dependence as human beings.

I just finished Les Miserables. My husband read it first and really enjoyed it. I began with a physical book. I bought tickets to the show in March and wanted to finish the book first. Feeling that I didn’t have enough time I stumbled on an audio version on Spotify. The reader was incredible!

“1984” by George Orwell. I can’t give it away, but my favorite part was the ending! I think it’s a must read, especially in today’s society.

My favorite book is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I really like the way the characters are developed and the flow of the story. I basically couldn't put the book down! I wanted desperately to know what was going to happen and where the characters would be at the end of the story.

I really recommend it! Just keep in mind that it is gothic book, so it is more sinister and sometimes it may seem that it takes a while for the story to develop.
