One can find a story of love, loss, and sisterhood in the memoir "Twice the Family" by Julie Ryan McGue. The author expresses her gratitude to God for the adoption of her and her sister by their parents.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Twins often have a special bond. I am happy for the author and her sister that they got chosen by wonderful parents, that they got to be part of a loving family with even more siblings, that they got a great example of what a strong loving marriage is.

Life of being a twin seems interesting. The actuality that you live this life and experience it with someone who looks just like you is fascinating. It is sweet that the twins weren't separated at adoption and gt to grew together.

I believe I have read one of Julie Ryan McGue's books, and I am glad that this one is interesting as well. A united, loving, and stable family is one of the factors that will actually help a child develop well. The fact that Julie is able to make the reader feel they are part of the family is amazing. The book is on my to-read shelf. Many thanks for the amazing review, @Judy Burr.

Memoirs are not my cup of tea but the review is well written. The book sounds very heartwarming and emotional telling us the stories of a loving family and how they coped with everything life threw at them. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This touching memoir follows twin sisters adopted as infants, growing up in a loving, faith-driven home. Through joys, challenges, and deep family bonds, their story radiates warmth, resilience, and gratitude. It feels like being welcomed into their family—and I genuinely want to read more. Congrats BOTD!

This seems like a heart-warming, uplifting book. I'm glad things worked out for the twins, and commend the author for sharing their story with the world. I also thought this was a lovely, well-written review. Thank you.

Today's BOTD is a coming-of-age memoir that follows adopted twins, Julie and Jenny, as they navigate identity, belonging, and family bonds amid familial tensions and personal struggles. As Julie gets older, she questions her place and uses her experiences to shape the life she wants. I love memoirs because I feel there is always something to learn! I'm looking forward to reading this one...thank you so much!! :-)

"Twice the Family" is a memoir about the author, Julie Ryan's journey of self-discovery. It is about her and her twin sister's life as adoptees, about her struggle with identity and belonging. Julie questioned "who she is, how she fits in, her adoption circumstances, her faith, and her idea of family," etc., and I'm glad to know she finally found herself. Congrats on BOTD!
