I learnt from this book that life continues irregardless. No matter the tragedy, people would still live on.

There is no dead end other than death. This is my lesson from this book. You can find a way out of every situation if you want to.

The task the book taught me is that in life no matter what, you have to always keep your head up to every situation or problem you face. I really love this book.

I learnt to be resilient, to build on my courage and convictions; to never give up. Brandy is a practical example of this.

I agree with you. She is an epitome of courage and determination. And she has proved that age and gender cannot conquer a determined person.

Rightly said. Our background cannot define who we are. It cannot determine our destiny. All that is needed is courage and conviction to a chosen cause.

Really? I am just hearing this now. So, courage and determination are predominant themes in pirate stories?

The best lesson that I’ve gleaned from this book is that success is the sweetest revenge. Brandy is truly an exceptional character deserving of praise. Even though her parents died, she managed to get up and live a life.

Brandy remained strong and unwavering and that is the lesson I take away from this book. To be strong even when all else fails.
