An e-reader hands down. First of all, an e-reader doesn't strain my eyes as much as a tablet would. And Second of all, I get less distracted when reading on an e-reader because I don't get any notifications for social media, which is always a plus!

It took me a couple of years but now I love my ereader. I have a laptop, a smart phone and a tablet but I like the dedicated ereader for reading. I use a kobo arc so it is internet ready.

Tablets are great but they are not as convenient as my Kindle Paperwhite. Add to that the fact that most tablets are heavy as compared to the Paperwhite.

If you are looking for a device solely for the purpose of reading I would get an ereader. They at much better for your eyes and the battery last a lot longer. If you are wanting something to play with and read then a tablet

I would much rather take a tablet with a glass of water than an e-reader :geek2:

Some time ago I would have preferred an e reader but now if you are spending money then you should get the most out of it
