Android works with Google, so you can use it. That is one negative about Amazon Fire tablets. I have both Fire tablet and an older Samsung tablet. They are so much better that a kindle tablet, in my opinion. You can do email and social media and games on these 2 types.

I use ReadEra, and sometimes Xodo. Xodo has this text reflow for pdf, so it's much easier to read rather than zooming constantly in pdf.

It's not too great for PDFs, but Librera FD is my go to when reading epubs the phone, lots of customization and options.
