I believe the thought of contemplating the death of your own child's passing from a terrible condition as cancer would be devastating emotionally, mentally, and physically for any parent. A mother bonds with the child first before anyone else while the child is in her womb, so losing her child is unimaginable in the mother's mind.

I am a father, but I agree that if its something concerning my daughter, my wife would always have the right intuition. If something like in this book happened to my child, I would definitely be devastated. But eventually I'll become stronger while giving them the support they need.

I believe that once there is life, there is always hope. I also believe that faith with prayers will always result to positive yield. I felt sad for the mother and I also loved her strength. Let’s always stay positive no matter the challenges we encounter.

Mothers are best at detecting a change in their children. If a mother didn't follow her instinct, she may regret it later, and I think a good mother will do anything to save her children.

These things depend on what we believe essentially. I believe that parents (mothers especially) have a telepathic connection with their children.

I believe mothers are highly gifted in that aspect. They are hardly wrong in their feelings about their children. Louis's mother is not different.
Sometimes, it might be difficult not to crumble in such situation, but keeping the hope alive is the ultimate thing to do.

No mother would be happy seeing her child in that devastating condition. Indeed it is quite heart breaking. Buy then you jut have to be strong and full of hope. Make sure you try everything you can so in the end, no matter the turn our, it would always be known that you dud your best.

The bond between a mother and her children is created even before the children are born. A mother's instinct is rarely wrong. This book also vouch for that. Ignoring a mother's concerns is certainly not advisable. A mother, who is also the primary caregiver, is most likely to notice any changes in the children well before everyone else.

There is nothing that is stronger than a mother's intuition for something being wrong. If i was a mom and I suddenly found out about a super serious situation happening to my kid that I previously had no clue about, I would be devastated

(Disclaimer that I’m not a mother so not coming from a place of personal experience)
I agree with you 100%...there is always that connection felt between loved ones

If Mary Ellen didn't believe in her gut and had that real bond that a true mother-son/ daughter has, she would not have realized that there was something wrong with her child.
I also might be devastated and really crumble if I discovered something that horrifying happening to my child. But it is said that when difficulties arise in our lives, the circumstances generate the required strength and courage naturally to endure them and pass that phase. So, I would have faced such a situation with self-confidence and faith in God.

I believe in a mother's intuition. I have witnessed my own mother's, and I have also felt it with my children. I would also do anything for my children. I have depended on God to carry me through very difficult situations. My faith is very important to me.

a mother's intuition is always very accurate. It is the key thing that helps detect when something is wrong because that is sometimes the only symptom or sign that something is wrong.

A loving mother's instinct is reinforced by the strong bond to her children. I would like to emphasize on the words 'loving mother' here. Some mothers are careless and self-centered. I doubt such mother would be as preoccupied, and focusing all their energy on their little ones.
Louis' mother is a loving, caring and strong woman; she is a force to be reckoned with, and I like the fact that, despite the difficulty of the situation, she always tried to stay technical and take the right decisions for her entire family.

personally, I would be devastated, I think that I would really crumble and have denial for a period of time but my faith in god will help me up again and I believe that he will be better taken care of with the lord and the angels.
I thought the exact same thing when I read the book. However, she showed her strength while at the hospital with Louis. Faith in God, especially in this instance, is crucial for your child and you. No matter the result of the circumstance, your child will be in great care in the hands of God, which, for me, would provide instant comfort.
