Dumb orphan is such a heartwarming story of struggle and resilience of the several orphans who are made to live on their own. The book covers a lot of topics about the African tribe, their culture, and their struggles and determination to improve their living standards. A sample chapter has piqued my interest. I can't wait to read the whole book. The review is on point and only added to my curiosity. Good work

Allan Low's "Dumb" Orphans: A Bundu Bunch Trilogy" is a poignant exploration of the lives of orphaned children in Africa. The story centers on Aiyasha, a fifteen-year-old girl who is tasked with caring for seven other orphans. Despite facing adversity, including poverty, discrimination, and societal prejudices, Aiyasha and her fellow orphans exhibit remarkable resilience and determination.

The novel delves into themes of inequality, corruption, and the power of human spirit. It highlights the struggles faced by marginalized communities and the importance of education and opportunity. Through the characters of Aiyasha, Sakhile, and others, the author showcases the strength and resilience of the human spirit.

The book is a powerful reminder that even in the face of adversity, hope and perseverance can prevail. It inspires readers to appreciate the value of education, hard work, and compassion.

At 15, Aiyasha is left to take care of orphans, all the while the powerful people like Samu and Mayega misuse their leadership and create an ill atmosphere for the kids. The stark difference between privileged and underprivileged is highlighted. This story about orphan children is motivating and inspiring to teenagers.

"Dumb" Orphans: A Bundu Bunch Trilogy.by Alan Low is a story about the children that were orphaned when their parents died from AIDS in South Africa. Aiyasha is a primary character and she was orphaned at age 15 and was given the responsibility of caring for seven other orphans that were all suffering from lack of food, bad living conditions and a poor education. Other privileged children called the Bundu Bunch dumb so they were resilient and determined to prove them wrong. Egocentric leaders do not care about the people and show their true stripes when they gain power. Sounds like the political leader wannabes we are dealing with today in the U.S. These poor orphans are left to fend for themselves by the people that were supposed to protect them. In South Africa there has not been a great leader since Nelson Mandella. Dictators have run the country and took advantage of the people. Sound like a cowardly man that is running for president? This is an excellent story about how the underprivileged can overcome their situations and succeed in life as long as they have the determination to succeed. This is an inspirational story that should be read by teenagers and their parents.

The traditional view is that children who are orphans, like Aiyasha, cannot amount to something good in life but if the government can take up the responsibity of seeing that they are well taken care of, it will be amazing. Nice review!
