An excellent story. I love that it focuses on Lea and how she finds herself rather than on her parents. I'll sure want to read this one. Thanks for an amazing review.

Sounds like a sweet book for teens or young adults, dealing with issues that unfortunately a lot of kids are dealing with.

Thank you for your wonderful review. Kids are very smart and many things that happen in life do affect them whether they say something or not. I'm glad the author wrote about Lea's thoughts and feelings about things that happen due to no fault of her own. It sounds like a great book for tweens, especially. Though I'm much older than a tween (by many times), but I would enjoy reading it too and I have added it to my list of books to read.

It seemed to be an impactful summer for Lea as she spends time away from her loved ones. I am looking forward to digging into this novel to find out how she will cope up with a new environment and what mysteries await her. And to combine the story with ghosts makes it intriguing.

Mystery, adventure, and a girl facing, at a young age, family difficulties. It seems like a recipe for success for teen readers. Great review and very specific and straightforward as far as it concerns likes and dislikes!

The #BOTD is very character-centered. The sibling rivalry, the knowledge that the parents are having relationship issues, and Lea's emotional turmoil stand out strongly within the first pages. Great review, I hope to see the transformation of Lea that you described.

I find it very interesting that this book focuses on Lea, who is passing through the divorce of her parents, the loneliness of going somewhere new with someone she hardly knows. It sounds great to those young readers who are passing through similar situations. Congrats to the author on BOTD! Thanks for the great review!

The book sounds interesting. It is good that the author doesn't focus on the divorse but on Lea instead and how she coped with that situations encountering a mystery, a ghost, and new friends along the way. I believe it will be really helpful to teenagers who have the same situation. Congratulations on becoming bOTD!

Sounds like an awesome story that all young girls should read. I love that in the midst of the sadness that sometimes occurs in real life, there is a mystery story to distract Lea from her troubling life. Thanks for a great review!

Awesome review!! Thank you!!

Today's BOTD is a coming-of-age middle grade novel best fit for tweens who are dealing with life changes and situations out of their circle of control, such as their parents getting a divorce or having to move away from their friends. The easy-to-follow storyline and relatable characters make this the perfect addition to any classroom or home library. Thank you so much! I've added it to my list! :-)

I think a lot of kids would enjoy this book. Coming into a certain age is always hard and then you have to deal with your parents separating and then being split up from parents and brother. I enjoyed the review.

A coming-of-age novel about a girl named Lea who must grapple with the changes in her life, especially when her parents got separated. This makes a wonderful premise for a coming-of-age novel. It’s all the more interesting, as it was woven with some historical elements.
