This is a typical clash of cultures in which only individuals who flinch against their old lives dare go against, pitting love against loyalty to kin and morals.
Sounds like an interesting story in with undertones of a romantic whirlwind.

Being married into a loveless marriage with a disrespectful, abusive, greedy person interested in wealth and power, the protagonist suffered a lot. Set in an American Revolution era, the historical romance has a beautiful story and plots to look for. Great review!

Definitely not my cup of tea, because to me everything about Indian's is tarnished by the worst crime imaginable - destruction of the people and unique culture. We as a civilization were robbed of spiritual and nature-bonded philosophy by greed and cruelty. Sorry, I prefer to skip the book.
