Love the review! It showcases the poetry's beauty, but I'm not into poetry, so I'll give it a miss.

As someone who usually finds poetry puzzling, I was pleasantly surprised by Lynda McKinney Lambert's ability to connect poems with nature so beautifully. Her haikus bring out the joy hidden in everyday moments. Congrats on BOTD!

I have read poetry books before, but this is the first time I am reading haiku-style poetry. Some of her poems touched me deeply. In her poems, the words are few, but the impact is huge. For example, here is one of my favorite poems from this book:

watering flowers

like rivers in a desert,

refreshing my soul.

These lines carry a deep meaning. It uses the simple act of watering flowers to illustrate a deep emotional experience. By comparing this act to rivers revitalizing a desert, the poem highlights the transformative and nourishing power of nurturing nature. Ultimately, it suggests that such simple acts can profoundly refresh and rejuvenate one's soul, celebrating the connection between human well-being and the natural world. This is the power of Haiku.
- The connection between the three is quite fascinating and Intrigueing. I feel its power even by reading the review. An exquisite review. Thank you.

It will be good to read this book based on the Japanese version of poetry known as haiku. I like that this form is inspired by among others nature. Thanks for the review.

“Each Day Holds Some Small Joy” by Lynda McKinney Lambert is a book of poetry based on a collection of haiku-style poems. All of the poems were written from a Christian perspective by Lambert and haiku is poetry that is focused on nature. I enjoy books that focus on faith in God, and I look forward to reading this book. What a great setting for writing poems about nature while sitting in her peaceful prayer garden. The official reviewer stated that “words are few, but the impact is huge”. The poems are short and easy to read but to understand the poems readers need to let the poem sink in so that they feel the impact. The title of the book is so positive, and I wish all people could approach each day this way. We know that there are many people that can have such a positive outlook on their next day, but the world has a long way to go before this could be the norm.

I appreciate poetry, especially its ability to inspire profound thoughts despite its brevity.

That said, I have never read haiku-style poetry before. Learning that it focuses on nature has made me more eager to read the book, as I enjoy nature and nature references in literature.

I am glad that my review is being used for #BOTD. This makes me happy. It was the first time I read Haiku style poetry and I really enjoyed it. If you slow down while reading you can feel nature like its a part of you. A must-read for everyone.
