Such great stories. Thank you for sharing.

I have known my husband since I was 9. I am now 48. We are soul mates but we didn't know it back then, lol. His family knew my family but since he was 8 years older he was like a big brother to me. He warned me about "boys" and dating, lol. He took me for my road test to get my driver's license. He basically gave me advice and listened to me even when I was a kid. I grew up and went off to college. He got married and started working. Over the years we stayed in contact even though we were in different states. I was at his wedding and he was at mine later on. I was at a crossroads in my life when I was going through bad time in my marriage and Mike became my sounding board. I needed a new place to start over and Mike told me to check out NC as he and his family were moving there. I did end up moving about 1 1/2 hours away and started over. A few years later he and his wife split up. Mike called me and asked me to come up for a BBQ. We never thought we would be anything more than friends but here we are best friends 17 years later and going strong.

Mike is the best thing that has happened to me in my life. He is truly my best friend and soul mate. We do everything together and we are together 24/7. I am thankful everyday for our life together.

Suzy-You mentioned "liking". Mike sometimes will turn to me and say "you're still here and I "like" you"… It's sounds as if he is amazed, lol. Yeah….liking someone is better than love sometimes. Liking means you enjoy the person you are with and it's not an obligation or a comfort zone  but I do still love him with all my heart too :)

Thank you suzy. It seems you and I have both been lucky in love. The difference…you knew love at first sight….it took me decades, lol.
