Alynn, its good to have a wood stove for a backup for emergencies. For heat and cooking. I have a wood burning stove I modified to burn used motor oil. I could get all of that I wanted for free and when I lived in the ghost town I used it to heat my bedroom. It was a little tricky to adjust, but it worked pretty good.

18 is hot!?!? That would be comfortable for me.Himmelslicht wrote:At 18ºC. It's pretty hot here in Africa.

It's 17 in my room, but I have the thermostat cranked up to 24, trying to warm it up a bit.

Outside it's 30c! It wouldn't be wise to be any higher than 20c ahah. It's really hot here. The only way to escape the heat is to have the thermostat as cold as possible.ALynnPowers wrote:18 is hot!?!? That would be comfortable for me.Himmelslicht wrote:At 18ºC. It's pretty hot here in Africa.

Do you know of the " trick " of climbing stairs BACKWARDS?...it works, no pain!...
A friend of mine has a very high SUV, and that's the only way I can get in and out of the car to avoid pain...
holding at 61...
Carpe Diem!
