Good morning, Suzy Thats about what my house is now, around 60. It was around 50 when I got up, but its warming up.

Alynn, its good to have a wood stove for a backup for emergencies. For heat and cooking. I have a wood burning stove I modified to burn used motor oil. I could get all of that I wanted for free and when I lived in the ghost town I used it to heat my bedroom. It was a little tricky to adjust, but it worked pretty good.

Hi Suzy Were doing great, the fleabags are fine. No complaints except this stupid knee of mine, it dosent want to work right anymore. Its a SOB to get up and down without screaming obscenities in pain. Oh well, thats what we get for getting old, got to toughen up and deal with it. Thank the Lord for Iboprofen and an Ace bandage.

18 is hot!?!? That would be comfortable for me.
It's 17 in my room, but I have the thermostat cranked up to 24, trying to warm it up a bit.

Outside it's 30c! It wouldn't be wise to be any higher than 20c ahah. It's really hot here. The only way to escape the heat is to have the thermostat as cold as possible.

It sucks, dosent it. You must scream twice as many obscenities as I do when you get up and down. :(

Ive got my propane heater on this morning, set at the middle setting. It is a little chilly, but should warm up to about 70 or so later.

If my dad is home it's at 61F but I put it up as high as it will go (which is only 66F) when he's not home. It's not much of a difference but it's nice to have a little heat for a little while. And if I know I'm going to be home for the rest of the day I just start a fire in the fireplace and leave the thermostat alone.

I prefer it to be at 74. I'm always cold but my fiancée is always warm. So we keep it around 60 because he throws off a lot of heat when we cuddle so I stay warm and toasty.

B.H., Luckily the only time I feel pain is when I go up and down stairs , otherwise NADA....

Do you know of the " trick " of climbing stairs BACKWARDS?...it works, no pain!...

A friend of mine has a very high SUV, and that's the only way I can get in and out of the car to avoid pain...

holding at 61...
