Wear Glasses or not??

I have to wear glasses. Had to since I was about 10 or 11. I have astigmatism in both eyes and am nearsighted. Sometimes, I am able to read without my glasses.

Unfortunately, at least I thought at first, I have come to that age in my life where the eyes are not as strong as they used to be. Now, I wouldn't go without them, I see soooo much better.

Since second grade. I actually had an eye doctor tell me when I was in my teens (or maybe even before) that too much reading was bad for my eyes. I simply decided he was a quack and kept on a-reading. 40 some odd years later I still ain't blind! Quack..

I wear glasses to prevent eye strain.. My vision isn't 20/20 and with all the new technology out there i.e phones, tablets, computers I would not want my eyesight to worsen.

I have prescription glasses, but I rarely use them. Mainly in class if it's absolutely necessary. They have really fallen apart in the last week though-I've had them for two years, but in the last week: the arm broke off twice and the nose grips both fell off

They're also giving me headaches to the point where I can't make sense of anything I try to see with them that I couldn't see without them so there's no real point in wearing them atm.
