Is poetry better with or without background music?

I think that depends on the poem you read , some poems are better understood with classical music as background , especially Mozart and some Strauss waltzes .

Poetry should be read in silence as it has a different meaning to different people and in order for us to perceive its meaning we have to be able to feel without outside stimulations clouding our minds
