I don't move my mouth or whisper, but sometimes I "think out loud" - I ask questions or say something in response to the book. It confuses my husband, who thinks he missed part of a conversation. lol

I don't and I don't wish to. I only move my mouth when I am required to read aloud. If not I don't even mumble.

Wow, I never thought about this before. I don't think I usually move my mouth when reading, I might on occasion? I don't really speak out loud or put my finger along the words either.

There are times when it helps get focused but other times I feel it's a distraction

Only when I am reading a really funny part does my mouth move, as I like to copy the dialogue in an attempt to memorize it. I do do this a lot when I am rereading though.

I tend to literally speak aloud to myself when I'm researching but, when it comes to books I'll mumble words when I become fixated on a specific quote or format of writing.

I don't do this unless, like other people have said, I am editing my work. I think that I read too quickly to be able to do this.

Does it assist you when you read? I myself feel as though I am reading faster and taking in more information when I mouth the words and whisper a little.
