Sam Ibeh wrote: 03 Dec 2019, 06:39 Though this book has a romantic touch to it, I think it's more of a sci-fi book. The book seemed to have explained how E.M.P would be the future of the world. I think the romance story is more of lacing to the sci-fi plot.
What is EMP if I may ask?
Electromagnetic pulse - EMP- for example, it can be man-made like a nuclear magnetic pulse or natural like lightning. Weapons have been developed to deliver the damaging effects of high-energy EMP.
Oh thanks. I was a little confused for a moment there.

It started in an interesting way, especially having the professor go on tv and explain about E.M.P. I've read about EMPs in another fictional story. The subject is exciting and scary at the same time. In my opinion, our country does not know how many enemies we have or where they all are. What do you all think?

I was on the fence after reading the sample. But reading all the reviews helped make up my mind. I will definitely be reading this book.

E-M-P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a science fiction, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I loved the action scenes, but I expected more romance by the name of the novel.

No problem I didn't know it either.

Generally, the book has a fantastic story. You cannot detach yourself from the fact that there is a degree of blending romance and crime. Terrorism has been a menace that is almost crippling today's world. The book is informative in terrorism matters but brought out in a story.

AntonelaMaria wrote: 01 Dec 2019, 11:32 I would recommend this book but not to romance readers. I think that description is misleading. It is an action-packed book for sure. My favorite part is the ending and how everything was resolved. I also like how this book deals with interesting subjects like a solar flare. It is a thing I didn't know much about but after reading this book I was researching more. I always appreciate it when a book teaches me something that I didn't know before. On the other side, I would like if there were a stronger female character.
I definitely recommend this book as an audio. The narrator did an amazing job with it.
I saw this book but didn't read it because of romance genre. Now, when i know its not a romance novel, maybe i will give it a try.

Overall I liked this book. It wasn’t my typical first choice but I did enjoy it. I thought it was a very fast paced and action packed story. I wouldn’t recommend it to true romance lovers as this book wasn’t really a love story. It fits more into action than it does romance. Also, the ending was my favorite part. The author did a great job at tying up all of the loose ends.

The story is full of many scenes and different character, the author quite created some easy navigation in that regards. I also admire the little humorous scene and the sarcasm. The romance is every very low. Not quite a romance read.

I suppose the conflict between the expectations a reader might have when seeing the word "honeymoon" in the title and the wide-range suspenseful action they find themselves plunged in along with the characters is a strong point in favor of reading the book. I do recommend it.

I rate 2 out of 4 because the book not my usual reading. I read it because the book have action genre in it and it pump up my adrenaline. Make me want to know what happen next and next. Well I'm more to fantasy action romance not the cringe or BDSM romance but this one is good because I enjoy the storyline. How all the characters progress throughout the story. How they end up in a certain situation.
