Some terms and concepts may not correspond to how medical practitioners perceive them. The author, on the other hand, attempts to assert efficient and effective practices that can be beneficial to its specific target. I read some context that differed from my point of view as well, but after meticulous investigation and research, I determined them to be alternately credible. I am not a medical practitioner, but this book has a lot of potentials.

I noticed some points in this book which are out of the standard and accepted practices as per my knowledge. Few of them are, giving CPR even before securing cervical spine (just because there is no breathing, and even before checking pulse), ending primary survey after the assessment of circulation and including AVPU assessment in the focussed assessment, but not in the initial assessment, etc.

If anyone of you read this book is with some professional medical knowledge and practice, did you notice any more flaws like this? Are you happy about the accuracy of the content of this book?

I agree with you. I'm a doctor and we need practice for giving cpr , Giving CPR is not a cup of cake for anyone, sometimes while giving CPR a rib can break, if applied more force we can puncture the parenchyma of the lung and can induce pneumothorax.

I'm not a medical personnel but I believe that these information are very accurate. However my words shouldn't be the judge of the accuracy as I am unaware of the minute technicalities that pass in medical world. While reading, I felt it to be as accurately demonstrated in simple words as possible.

I am not from the medical profession but I think that the author has made a great effort to make the information presented in the book as accurate as possible. I think we must first of all keep in mind that the book is intended for ordinary people without medical knowledge.

Yes, I am happy with the accuracy of this book as the content was easy to read through, just that some of the words are medically related, so I would advise one should be medically inclined or do some research before picking this book.

But in my opinion, this is just some basic information for those who have to face medical problems like those mentioned in the book. But if someone wants to check the information from this book or be more specific, they had to learn more further in medical school or working in the health fields, of course.

As a person that has had a year of nursing under the belt, I would say that the information is mostly accurate and that certain things are more important in emergencies than ehat you may have been taught. One needs to yse discretion in these matters. I found the book to be a gem.

I love your input! I agree that when there’s a true emergency people should know what they can do. Sometimes there is the rare occasion when you just can’t get the medical attention needed fast.

I think we shouldn't put so much pressure considering this book is solely for prepers and not professionals. Furthermore, the author was giving basic medical knowledge to people without medical background. For the example you've given, maybe he was focusing on the CPR.

With the little I know and I've heard of, the book was accurate and I was satisfied with it. The author did his best. And he wrote it for non professionals in the medical line. If I could relate with it, then it is very accurate.

I am satisfied with the accuracy of the content. As a retired nurse, I agree there were a few things different than would normally be done in an emergency room or hospital room. However, the author is talking about emergency situations when there is no immediate professional help available. In those situations doing 'something' is better than doing nothing at all. This book is a valuable resource for those who find themselves in that type of situation. Protocol is pretty much put aside and you improvise and do the best you can.

Despite not being a medical professional I didn't find the book confusing. I understood what the author was saying. The book was accurately written for Professionals and non-professionals. The book was majorly written for the layman in the medical field

I do not work in the medical field, but I do take first aid and CPR classes for work. This information seems accurate to me. Also, I see comments from nurses saying that this is accurate information so that’s good enough for me.

I think the author knew his target audience might not really take notice of all of these. For instance, I did not even know that they were inaccurate. Now that you mentioned it, I can see where Williams did not do due diligence.

I believe the information provided in the book is quite accurate, although I am not a medical professional. However, this book was written for the layman and I the content is comprehensive and accurate.
