If it is intriguing I can stay for a half-day in one sit.

I have less time to read now than I used to, but I try to read a book that's really grown on me for as long as I can in a sitting. That time span varies greatly from day to day. I have yet to find an author of the now that REALLY grabs me, of whose works I just have to have all, but I'm looking and looking hard.

I think the longest I have sat reading in one sitting is no longer than a few hours. Otherwise, I get tired from sitting and my fingers can get kind of tingling from holding the book for too long.

I could spend the whole day if the book is interesting, although I use to have breaks every so often at least few minutes, if not my back gets very painful.

I can read for hours and hours if the book is really good. If it's the type of story I just can't put down, I can spend all day reading it! I sometimes get reading too fast and then I feel like I need to go back and reread in case I missed something too; that happens more the longer I've been reading.

If the story is really gripping, I can read a whole book in one sitting which could be a whole day and evening combined. However, I do make sure I get up and stretch every hour or so, otherwise I get cramp. I can get lost in a story and completely forget time and the outside world.

If the book is good I'll say 90 minutes. After a break I can go back to it.

An afternoon if the book is good and I have free time. My interest does dwindle if the book is less engaging, but I don't have an issue with the donation of at least two-three hour's time to a book that I enjoy.

I'll probably need a break in like 4 hours or so, but then I'll get back to it.

In terms of minutes or hours, I really cannot recall, but I almost finished Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" in just one sitting.

If it is an interesting book, I can sit and finish the book in one go. But they have to be physical copies of the book. In digital versions, I take a break once every hour, for at least 10 minutes before I get back to reading again. I can sit easily for 5-6 hours straight if I genuinely like a book.

I can read for a really long time if I’m enjoying myself. I don’t have a problem with falling asleep or losing interest most of the time. My boyfriend has a really hard time with falling asleep and I feel really bad for him because he really misses being able to get into the book zone.

I almost always finish a book I start in one sitting, the feeling of not knowing what happens next is a lot for me. So I start reading only when I know I have enough time to finish the book.

For me, it really depends on how engrossed I am in the book. I once finished a book in 4 hours, one sitting :techie-reference: . That was the shortest time I have ever taken to finish a book, I had not even realised how much time had passed.
