I am a maestro by taking charge of my life and making positive and unsentimental decisions that would propel me forward, ensuring that negative vibes remain far from me, even when things don't look good.

I am grateful to all of you for your willingness to see yourself as "The Maestro" when it comes to conducting your daily affairs and orchestrating your many earthly destinies. These comments inspire me. Our lives are only upsetting because we see ourselves in an upsetting way. That's what those darn howling-NOs to to you. When we are able to see through the echoes of NO - Voila! There we all are: Rich and majestic children of infinite intelligence. What will we do with that? This conversation contributes to that end. Thank you so much :) Rob

I am a Maestro because no matter what life throws at me (and I've been through some really tough times), I keep it moving, regardless. I might trip and fall, but I don't stay down.

What's more, I even step out of my own pain to care for others, and I enjoy it.

I would have to say always moving forward. Sure, setbacks happen, but dwelling on them won't change them- only continuing forward will!

I am also a Maestro when I am playing with my parrot, Shakespeare. He has been my friend and companion for 38 years. When he and I go for a walk (he sits on my shoulder), we are absolutely in flow with whatever is going on around us. In moments like that I sense I am walking as The Maestro, not as the nervous and agitated, unwanted mental house guest, known as "the Intruder" :)

Rob White wrote: 02 May 2022, 07:20 As the author, might I get this ball rolling? My favorite way of being The Maestro, when it comes to conducting my life, is when I am able to help others get over feeling flawed, for one reason or another, and begin noticing they're not so bad after all :) I've become pretty darn good at that, and I love the experience of jumping in to help out when the matter comes up :) Thank you for asking.
I totally agree with this. To me, being the Maestro is all about self acceptance. I've accepted both my flaws and finesses.

But when you accept your flaws, sometimes it can lead to resignation. That's not the case for me. I've learnt that I'm actually not that bad, and I'm getting a little bit better everyday, as opposed to going the other way.

I am Maestro in many ways. In the way that I think, in my attitude to life, in my words and actions. I am Maestro and I won't let life beat me up so bad to make me quit.

Another way I find myself to be "The Maestro," as described in my book, is when I am singing while soaking in my Jacuzzi. I swear I sound just like Dean Martin. Really! Rob

Even the Bible says; Man know thyself.
I know what I can do. I know my limitations. I know how to exceed the world’s expectations. I am wonderfully made.
