I think there will be a time wherein entrepreneurs couldn't handle the business anymore, so they pass it on for their heirs to handle. So yes, entrepreneurs should also retire at some point. I think we would all retire at some point.

I think it all depends on your own choice. My father likes to work and he is in his mid-70s. He is healthy and active and work makes him happy so why not? On the other hand, his younger brother (my uncle) likes to spend his time with his grandchildren and not go to work regularly. So, I think it all depends on your own personal choice and whatever makes you happy!

I think retirement is based on your plans and dreams. For most entrepreneurs, retirement is not often planned for. However, most persons do plan for retirement. Nevertheless, I still think entrepreneurs should retire. I don't fancy working till old age.

Eventually, yes. People get old and tired regardless of what you do in life.

Everyone needs planning! Because there is hardly anyone who wants to be left without money and the possibility of a good income. A good plan can help you at a time when you never thought it would come.

More important than retiring is preparing for a time when you will not have income or will be unable to work. Planning for the future would give more security. Then to retire or not would be an option.

Definitely. They are also workers. At some point in their lives they'll have to have that rest. But I don't think it'll be as simple to retire for them but they definitely should.

Yes, entrepreneurs are entitled to retirement and should retire in due time. Regardless of the fact that there is more flexibility when you are self employed, work processes are still almost the same, so retirement is paramount.

Many entrepreneurs are secretly afraid of retirement; they don't want to be idle or seem weak or not useful. They can't entirely retire or totally let go of the business. They mostly act like supervisors or overseers of the business. It absolutely depends on the person though, but some people are afraid that if they retire, they might become ill or start gaining weight because working is what they enjoy. Being useful means everything to them. They don't feel tired enough to retire and would instead keep pushing themselves to the point where they feel useful or relevant again. They will be in everyone's business if they don't have their way or have anything to do. I personally feel it depends on the person and what he or she wants.
If you are having a bad day, let people see that you are having a good day...Spread good vibes, people are going through a lot already. :tiphat:

Self-employed can retire depending on your perspective. If you are seeing it from the angle of going to work daily, self-employed can retire but if you are seeing it from the angle of monitoring the business, self-employed don't retire.

I think an entrepreneur should only delegate most of his work by employing others, so he could just supervise. I don't think it's advisable for anyone who wants to live long to completely stop working, as it could deteriorate a person’s health.

Whether employed or not there comes a time in one's life when they have to get rest. So I would advise anyone no matter their form of employment to read this book.

I don't think that retirement ever comes into the picture for an entrepreneur as the business belongs to him and he is always involved in decision making even though his involvement may be more in a supervisory capacity.

I think it’s a personal choice. But for a healthy lifestyle, entrepreneurs should also retire once they have made enough retirement savings.

Entrepreneurs are not robots. Of course you can't work forever. So everyone deserves to retire.
Whether you are an entrepreneur or not.
