Re: What is your favorite book/movie that centers around food?
This is the one.

Julie & Julia was halfway decent. I was fortunate enough to see the premier at a Tom Douglas event. The half of the film centering on Julia Childs was well done. The other half centering on a blogger making her recipes - not my cup of tea.
Not movies, but I love cooking shows. The Great British Bake Off and a Gordon Ramsay show on occasion are the main things I watch now. I used to love having old episodes of Iron Chef on in the background while doing homework when I was a highschooler.

I'm glad I'm not the only one I fell in love with it.Luv_2_reed-688 wrote: ↑12 Oct 2019, 22:57 Actually, mine would be two series of “cozy mystery” books. One is a series by Diane Mott Davidson, which features a caterer named Goldy Schultz. The other is a series featuring baker Hannah Swenson, who owns a shop called The Cookie Jar. There have been a couple of movies made based on Hannah Swenson mysteries. I believe they are Hallmark movies.
Oh my goodness, how did I not know there were Hannah Swenson movies?! I’ve read the whole series and always end up making at least one of the recipes. I must go figure out how to stream these now you made my day, thank you!
