Hi @Deborah Belanger, I just read your comments on the official review of "The Sound of the Broken Wand" and I enjoyed your summation of a very good book of poetry. I learned more about the story by reading your comments, more than i absorbed by reading the free sample and the official review. Thank you. @Mrlefty0706

In "The Sound of Broken Wand," we find echoes of our own journey—the pursuit of solace, the unlocking of inner gates, and the reflection of our true selves. Like broken wands, our vulnerabilities hold magic—the alchemy of transformation. In silence, we discover strength; in struggle, resilience; and in reflection, authenticity. Let us embrace these themes, for within them lies the symphony of our existence.
Life is a play where we are the actors and the audience, We laugh and cry, love and hate, create and destroy,
We seek to know ourselves and others, to belong and to be free, We accept what we can and change what we must.

This whole collection of poems has my heart, and I was surprised by it, to be very honest. I didn’t expect a poetry collection to have hints of magical realism elements in it, which added a much-appreciated flavour to the whole collection.

The poems will make you feel a spectrum of emotions, and you’d be amazed how beautifully each prose is curated and written. It’s evident the author has penned down their own feelings and journeys they’ve been through.

The style of writing is fluid and everything inter connects really well. It might not be for beginners to poetry, but nevertheless I think everyone should at least give it a try. It would surely have an effect on anyone who reads it. The collection deals with various situations in life and how it affects us, how we deal with it, how things change and so on.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone and would love to read more from the author in the long run.

It is true that cultivating a strong self-identity and self-image is a huge steps towards freeing oneself from the consequences of baseless criticisms. "The Captor and the Key" sure sounds very intriguing as mental incarceration is always worse than the physical one, as it is self-imposed. I have added the book to my shelf.
Many thanks for the fascinating review. :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat:

Tiki Black has a few songs out and has published a book with her poetry and songs within. It is a beautifully illustrated and conceived book with poetry and even songs.
The reviewer mentioned the use of various fonts and the differing poetry in the book and gave it five out of five stars. Their most resonant poem was titled, In the Arms of Morpheus.
It is quick to read and there are some really beautiful heart-felt poems or songs to read and re-read.

Definitely not my cup of tea, because poetry isn't my passion, but a source of great confusion. I am straight to the point kind of person and hiding meaning behind sophisticated wording never appealed to me. Sorry, I prefer to skip, but congrats anyway!

The description of 'The Sound Of Broken Wand' by Tiki Black has piqued my interest. The artistic presentation, including the choice of fonts and visuals, seems to add an extra layer of depth to her poetry. I’m particularly interested in 'The Captor and the Key,' as it delves into the struggle against negative thoughts. It sounds like a powerful and inspiring read.

Black's background as a singer-songwriter shines through the poems. The use of musical elements creates a rhythmic and engaging reading experience, especially for those who appreciate a strong lyrical flow.

I'm really looking forward to diving into 'The Sound Of Broken Wand' by Tiki Black. Her unique approach of blending poetry with musical notations sounds incredibly engaging. The themes of love, fear, and societal judgments are very relatable, and I can't wait to explore how she expresses these concepts through her poems. Congrats on the Book of Today Award.

This book is written in poetry form by the singer-songwriter Tiki Black.
I find it fascinating that this book integrates musical notations with her verses, resonating with the musically-gifted readers. The author waxes lyrical about timeless themes of human experience such as love, fear, the weight of societal judgements, and the therapeutic act of relinquishing the past.
Thank you for the detailed review of individual poems and explaining how the musical notation is combined with the poems.
