So true @Sandra Smith 18. I can listen to the same song on repeat for months until someone else in my family reminds me that it is getting boring for them, and could I please play another song if I'm going to be the family DJ?Sandra Smith 18 wrote: ↑20 Jun 2024, 00:15 Any music that I really love, whether it be one song or a whole album/CD, I can listen to over and over and over again. I usually put a CD in the car of whatever I'm in the mood to listen to and it stays in the CD player sometimes for months before I get tired of it and change to something else that I love. If music has all good qualities - melody, lyrics, instrumentation, orchestration, vocal performance, etc. - and touches your emotions, and brings you joy, how can you tire of that?

Sometimes I can cure a bad mood by listening to something rage filled until the mood has been exhausted out of me.
Sometimes I'm learning to play the song (I'm also a musician) and my brain picks the song apart different ways.
Sometimes it's an emotional response, reminding me of someone or a moment in time.
Sometimes it's a banger and I'm just going to play it to death until I never want to hear it again.
