The touching narrative in Kind Eyes is about a young boy, Liam, and his dog, Bailey. Liam lived in a lovely village surrounded by hills. He was born blind, and his visual impairment presented a unique set of challenges. He suffered from anxiety, lacked confidence, and felt lonely. He yearned for company—someone who could comprehend his unique needs. Liam's needs did not stay hidden from his mother for long. Aiming to fill this void and bring joy into Liam's life, his mother introduced him to an assistance dog named Bailey. Please pick up a copy of Kind Eyes, authored by Kerrie Clarke, to track if things change for Liam.

The author presents the narrative in an uncomplicated manner. The format ensures easy comprehension of the intended message for the young target audience. The author aims to sensitize readers about the challenges of accomplishing day-to-day activities for individuals with physical or mental impairments. The author also aims to spread awareness about their unique needs while urging empathetic interactions without hurting their dignity. These sensibilities are worthy of being nurtured. Hence, introducing empathetic behaviors to kids at their formative ages will be highly effective.

I appreciate how the narrative also emphasizes how animals can see beyond physical or mental impairment, are sensitive to the needs of humans, and offer confidence by enabling inclusion. The narrative has themes of human-animal relationships, empathy, the power of friendship, and unconditional love. The author appears to have drawn from his experience as a vet nurse and a disability support worker, adding credibility to the content.

The author demonstrates how humans, like animals, should learn to look beyond disabilities, build strong bonds, and enrich each other's lives. The cover instantly connects. The illustrations perfectly complement the narrative and ensure the reader's engagement. Some illustrations appear more than once; pages 6 and 20 display the same illustration. This aspect did not negatively impact my reading experience. I loved all the illustrations—the eyes came alive.

Through this narrative, the author aims to relay valuable information about the concepts of a service dog and a therapy dog and their impact on the lives of people with various types of impairment. I felt encouraged to explore the internet for in-depth information. The extent of assistance these animals can provide and reduce dependency is liberating. It offers individuals the much-needed feeling of being self-reliant and accepted.

I did not find any errors. I commend the flawless editing work. Given the target audience, the content, layout, and inclusion of endearing sketches throughout the book do not leave scope for any negative comments or suggestions for improvement. Hence, I rate it five out of five stars. These canine companions can improve the quality of life by empowering people with self-reliance, societal inclusion, and a fulfilling life. I recommend this informative read for all age groups.

The idea is great, although there are service dogs and the companionship that animals provide to their owners, they are not given their due. It seems from the review that the book deals with the matter in a simple and beautiful way. Great review

Your review describes a book that is worth its while to read. Congratulations to Kerrie Clarke for writing this inpsirational, informative, and well-illustrated 5-star-book, "Kind eyes". I am excited about the potential for this book to inspire some young people to get involved with other people who have special needs and disabilities. The same could be said about fostering and training service dogs. I know a couple of visually impaired people. It is true that at a young age they were anxious and lonely. It is impressive to see the abilities that they do have. We must make sure that they are given the same opportunities as those who have sight. Service dogs are one way of making this happen. Great review!

Even though this book sounds very emotional, and I tend to get emotional easily, I'll add it to my reading list. These types of books often provide valuable insights into the world around us. Thank you for your detailed review.

It sounds like this book does a good job of presenting the needs and challenges of those who experience impairments and disabilities and have service dogs that accompany them. Thank you for your thoughtful review!

What a heart-touching book! I love dogs and also had them as pets, so completely agree with them understanding you, especially in your times of sadness and despair. They are wonderful companions, quite a tragedy that they don't live as long.
The one thing that would steer me clear of this book, is if the plot has the dog passing away. Having gone through it first hand, I just can't bear it when this happens.
I know this would mean you giving away spoilers for this book.
Hopefully, I can be strong enough to read it someday and appreciate this book. Thankyou for the review!!
