Our local library always hosts something for Poetry Month. One year, a competition, and published poets read along with the contest winners. It was an enjoyable afternoon. This year, there was no competition, but they did have readings and some events for the junior schools.
I like to read poetry and write it anytime of the year, but April, blooming with possibilities, seems a great month to pick for Poetry Month.
This year has passed, but next year I am going to try and submit enough poems to magazines that perhaps one will find an April home.
I love Avatar and the tree in new leaf. It looks like blue skies all the way. May the best of everything touch you, Mary.
