Review of Stephen
Stephen by Ilze Venter is such a lovely book. It's a perfect mix of wolves and magical fantasy. Our main character is Stephen, who is honestly one of the most mature and helpful characters out there. He's an alpha who's still in school, but he often stammers when he speaks. He can't shake the feeling that people only respect him because of his status, not for who he truly was. He is in search of his mate; however, when he finds out who she is, he is completely heartbroken, as she does not want to accept him, as she is dating his best friend, Simon. Caught between love and hate, secrets and lies, will Stephen be able to win his mate’s heart—or will she reject him? What dark events in his past led to his stammer and the nightmares that haunt him? And what truths are the elders hiding behind their carefully guarded silence?
I absolutely loved this book. I love the friendship and sibling bonds between the main characters. Aside from this having a major theme of love and being mates, the most heartwarming theme is the love and friendship they all share. They all are always going the extra mile and trying to protect each other from the dangers out there. All the characters have such a special bond and are so supportive of each other.
I didn't find anything to dislike in this book. This book had an amazing plot and many twists and turns in our main character's life, leaving us hopeful about what has to happen next. This book has a simple format and layout. It's easy to read and simply interesting. I have not found any errors while reading, and this book is exceptionally well edited. I rate this book five out of five stars due to the reasons given above.
I recommend this book to readers over the age of sixteen years due to a few scenes. This book also has a few violent scenes as well. This book is recommended to those who love reading supernatural novels as well.
