I therefore admired John Carter of Mars or Carson of Venus, those sort of juvenile heroes.
But I got away from juvenile-oriented adventure books pretty young, reading Faulkner, Hemingway, and Henry Miller by age 12. So my teenage crushes were few and far between, and I've made up for it as an adult, being pretty much glammed onto modern hard-core tough gals in crime fiction. Reticent and distantly semi-virginal heroines need not apply.

In a book, the most recent would be Jace, from the Mortal Instruments Series. For whatever reason, I'm attracted to people like him--however, I don't feel like they casted him well in the film, so I'm only counting the Jace from the books.
In a show, Vikings characters Ragnar and adult Bjorn. I follow both actors on facebook and if either walked into the store where I work, I'm pretty sure I'd die.

His full name was James Beauregard after a civil war general on his mama's side, but the "mangy pack" of teenagers that became everyday, small-town heroes by book's end just called him Jimbo, or often simply Bo. It was a beautiful book. It was a horrible book. It broke my heart, but always the characters were stunning. Read it, I know you'd fall in love with Bo too.

For the first time in forever, I ventured out reading an erotic book, the Trilogy of Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm kinda conservative, and it was shocking for me, I can't really picture what has gone in the entire series. At first, I wanna stop at the first chapter. The author is good, though it's not my favorite genre. Curiosity killed the cat!
That was roughly two years ago when I fell for Christian Grey, only at the last part, Fifty Shades Freed, when I found him really lovable, when he's a truly transformed man, and he made a vow to Ana. LOL!

The last great character I fell in love with was Faolin from a little-known book called The Poppet and the Lune by Madeline Claire Franklin. I wish everyone knew this book. It's magic. And Faolin was my favorite...

How could I forget Cedric Volokine! Maan. I want to eat McDonalds with him despite of high calories and buy croissants and drink coffee in the morning.
