I just consider things which are beyond the explanation of science to be magic. They will remain magic until science can give explanations to them.

I don't consider it a magic but an unsolved mystery which may be solved or not...

I don't believe in magic and/or fortunetelling. As others have said, though, I do enjoy reading about magic or seeing it on TV and/or movies.

I love illusions and the "how did you do that?" response even though I don't want to spoil the trick and find out! I do find the pamphlets that get sent out to people who are suffering and desperate enough to believe disturbing, like "bringing back long lost lovers" or "knowing the lottery numbers" or "enlarging certain body parts". To me magic is the pink and blue sunset over the sea that doesn't even look real, the joy on my parent's faces when I just pop in for a cup of tea or just waking up in the morning knowing I have a day ahead of me where I can contribute something to someone's life!

I don't believe in magic but I believe in people who have certain skills and energies that can influence others

Yes of course, magic is all around us. Among practitioners magic is different from magick. Magic is street magic, illusion, etc. Magick is the craft, the occult, the esoteric.

To some degree I believe in magic as the things we haven't figured out how to do yet.

I rewatched Disney's "Sword in the Stone" recently and am now puzzling Wort's lessons against modern knowledge. During the battle with Madam Mimm, Merlin turns into a pathogen to get her sick. No one bats an eye in the scene but my familiarity with history reminds me that viruses/bacteria/all that stuff is a very modern discovery in the grand scheme of things. The fact that we have medicines that help the symptoms or vaccines to prevent disease is a sort of magic. I can watch Animal Planet or the Discovery Channel to learn what Wort learned about buoyancy and fish (but maybe not the bravery he was supposed to learn). That's a form of magic when you think about it.

In terms of the original question of fortune tellers and mediums, to some degree I consider them carnival magic that's intended to take your money and leave you with a happy feeling. I have not personally seen enough proof either way to decide if I fully believe that I could walk up to someone on the street who is going to tell me the gender of my first child or why I've felt unlucky lately.

If you believe in miracles then automatically you must recognize the existence of magic. This is because they're done by powers you can't explain but only to believe. Me I know there is magic performed by powers of darkness which are powerlessness before God.

To a certain extent, I hope to believe in magic. I like to think it exists and that we just don't know about it.

I actually believe in magic. I know it sounds strange..but when you are in the right setting and do the expected rituals.
You just might see some weird stuff begin to happen LOL..

I don't really know if I believe in magic but what i do know is that there are things that I have seen with my own two eyes that I can't explain and neither can science..
