Re: My Trip to Adele Trailer
Thank you. I don't regret reading it, though.hsimone wrote:I wholeheartedly agree. This book trailer did not pique my interest and, like you said gali, if this book wasn't BOTM, then I would not have picked it up.gali wrote:I agree it failed to convey the essence of the book. If it wasn't the BOTM, I wouldn't have read it based on the trailer.Ssinghal wrote:I think the summary written at the back of the book affects my decision to read the book more than the trailer. I felt the trailer could not really convey the essence of the book.

I agree. This book was worth the read, even if the trailer wasn't up to the same standardgali wrote:Thank you. I don't regret reading it, though.hsimone wrote:gali wrote:

Is it becoming more common? I'd heard of them, but this was the first one I've ever seen. Is it a bigger thing in the self-publishing world, I wonder?gali wrote: ↑08 Jul 2017, 11:17I have seen quite a few trailers and they were good.Donnavila Marie01 wrote:We are not used to. Besides, most of the time, we already have the synopsis or summary at the back page of the book.Izesicle wrote:I viewed the trailer on yt. I liked it. It's well-done and it provides a good tease of the plot. That said, I'm not used to watching book trailers so I'm typically not influenced by them.

I agree with you that the concept of a book trailer is interesting. Hopefully, the author will do a more captivating trailer since most people feel that the one he used didn't serve its purpose well
