I wholeheartedly agree. This book trailer did not pique my interest and, like you said gali, if this book wasn't BOTM, then I would not have picked it up.

I think trailers are good if you want to attract a new breed of readers, but for people who really love books, I don't think it makes much difference.

I have seen quite a few trailers and they were good.

Is it becoming more common? I'd heard of them, but this was the first one I've ever seen. Is it a bigger thing in the self-publishing world, I wonder?

I thought the book trailer was very flat and cliche. The voice seemed bored and the music almost made me sleepy. Beautiful- but not interesting.

Books with trailers seems wonderful as long as the trailer is well written.

I agree with you that the concept of a book trailer is interesting. Hopefully, the author will do a more captivating trailer since most people feel that the one he used didn't serve its purpose well
