What songs would you suggest to played along when reading Fireproof Happiness?

Post by Kumari Shubhalakshmi »

I've read the book already and loved every bit of hope and happiness talked about in it. I'm planning to go for a second read because, of course, one could always find new perspectives everytime they read something again. So, I was wishing for some appropriate song recommendations that I can play as background.

The song that best goes with the book is Journey, “Don’t Stop Belivin.” Hope is a powerful
Force that can compel us to go forward regardless of what the roadblocks may be.

I'm tempted to recommend a song to you but I feel like you should decide what kind of song would best fit your decision to go for a second read because works for me might not work for you.

Hi, Kumari, you will enjoy the song Don't Worry Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin. It is a fun song that encourages you to be happy despite life's hardships. I also loved this book. :techie-studyinggray:

While reading the book, I did not listen to any music. However, music can be a source of inspiration, so reading it while listening to "The Ocean" by Hillsong could be beneficial.

For a book like "Fireproof Happiness" that focuses on facing challenges and choosing hope, I'd suggest uplifting and motivational songs. Consider tunes like "Happy" by Pharrell Williams, "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor, or "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey to accompany your reading. These songs can complement the positive and inspirational themes of the book.

Maybe the sound of silence? I don't know. I just heard the song yesterday. It has very powerful vocals yet so calming. I would love to give it a try, would you?

Listening to a music while reading can be distracting to me. However I would recommend Goodness by Cece Winans after reading this book.

That's a strange question because I need a tranquil environment to read anything. However, a song that would go well with this book would be "That's The Way It Is" by Celine Dion. I can't think of a more fitting song.

That is an interesting question. I can't think of anything in particular right now but I do like the song "Journey On" by Elms District and I do think it will be a nice fit while reading Fireproof Happiness.

I think the song 'Raindrop are falling on my head' should be for the first part. The second part I thought the 'Eye of the Tiger' Rocky's theme was appropriate.

The songs that invoke the power in you are best. I like the ones, 'Drag me Down' and 'Golden Hour' to be played along with reading the book.

I would highly recommend the song called 'Rise' by Katy Perry. Every single line of this song encapsulates the aspects I read in this book. It is a song about no matter how much chaos you're in, you will rise from it. Situations will be hard to face, but your faith will help you rise from them. It's a highly optimistic and powerful song that I think you'll enjoy while reading this book because the lyrics and the words of the book are highly linkable.

It depends a lot on musical taste, could be Alive and unstoppable by Sia; The Ocean by Hillsong, among many others. I normally don't listen to music while reading, but rather later when I'm reflecting on it, and this case would be Sia.

I Am a Rock by Simon and Garfunkel is another appropriate song. This song is music therapy in the sense that it allows the depressed person to express how they really feel. This will prepare the reader to follow the inspiration of the book. In other words, sing and cry it out, and then start making the changes needed by reading the book. Good luck! :techie-studyinggray:
