Review of Off the Beaten Heart
Love is an amazing experience that we all get to enjoy, from the love we receive from our parents as we grow to the love we find as we explore the world around us. In Off the Beaten Heart: Love Beyond Definition by Rowan Pierce, we join Ethan Carter and Olivia Brooks on an interesting journey through which we can understand their love and the creative flow they share.
Ethan Carter, an author who seemed not satisfied with his recent work, decides to leave the city for a peaceful town tucked away in the hills. He arrives in the town, checks into a bed and breakfast, and decides to tour the city when he stumbles upon a gallery. There, he meets Olivia Brooks, who glows with positive energy, and she invites him to her painting classes the next day. The both of them seemed to have different beliefs in terms of commitment and love despite the fact that Ethan found her to be fascinating. Olivia believes that love is about embracing impermanence, and Ethan believes that love should be about commitment and endurance. Would you love to find out why Olivia was so scared of defining her relationship with Ethan? Does love really mean forever? Get a copy of this book and find out.
Off the Beaten Heart is an interesting book that explores themes of love, realization, and many more, and I suggest reading with an open mind to embrace new knowledge. I really connected with the character Ethan, but I also learned a lot from Olivia. I enjoyed Olivia's perspective on life, and I love her belief that "There is value in living in the moment." I loved reading the aspect of the book when Lucas provided Ethan with advice: he was so blunt and honest in his opinion, and this was really a genuine friendship. The way love was defined in this book was so authentic, and I really would love to embrace this definition of love. I also like how self-reflection is discussed in this book, and there is a lot of knowledge that could be learned from it.
I had no dislike for this book, but I encountered grammatical errors while reading it, so I rated it 4 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to romance readers and anyone seeking a mind-opening book.
