Juxtaposed ~ poem from Mynxe L. Silles

Post by Mynxe L. Silles »

Happy Reading! :)

Juxtaposed

I must’ve been dreaming when I called out your name,

But I was so, so very glad you came.

I’m afraid of the darkness in this room of mine when you’re not here.

I like it so, so much better when you’re near.

Chorus

If I could juxtapose with you, you know I would,

Anytime that you want, hope that’s understood.

You’re my blanket when I am cold and blue,

And I just want to crawl up under you.

Sometimes I sing, and sometimes I cry.

Are you thinking about me, like I am you, tonight?

And in your dreams, do you ever touch mine?

Well, you’ve touched mine, and that’s no lie.

Chorus

If I could juxtapose with you, you know I would,

Anytime that you want, hope that’s understood.

You’re my blanket when I am cold and blue,

And I just want to crawl up under you.

Well, we must’ve been caught up in a thunderstorm.

Because it’s electric the way that we conform,

Like ions way up high in the atmosphere,

We come together, everything else disappears.

Chorus

If I could juxtapose with you, you know I would,

Anytime that you want, hope that’s understood.

You’re my blanket when I am cold and blue,

And I just want to crawl up under you.

So, turn the lights out and say a prayer with me.

Then tell your goddess just what it is you need.

We could hold hands or we could just lie,

Tangled up, juxtaposed here, side by side

We could hold hands or we could just lie,

Tangled up, juxtaposed here, side by side.

Thank you for sharing this touching piece. You are very talented. The imagery of juxtaposition and the longing to be near someone special resonates deeply.
